NBC’s second annual Education Nation event, a nationally broadcast conversation about improving education in America, was held in Rockefeller Center in September of 2011. Asked to create a working TV studio in an unconventional space, the Jack Morton/PDG design team built a dynamic and flexible broadcast studio around the world famous Prometheus statue in the lower Plaza of Rockefeller Center. The space allowed NBC to host panel discussions, high profile lectures and Town Hall-style meetings. In addition to the broadcast studio, the space included a blogger lounge, two break-out areas and turntable seating that allowed the space to be quickly reconfigured in many ways.
